Short Product Description

Detect motion instantly. The Keyes Digital Vibration Sensor is a robust, omni-directional shake switch designed for Arduino and microcontroller enthusiasts. Whether you are building a smart anti-theft alarm, an earthquake detector, or an interactive toy, this module offers high sensitivity, easy "plug-and-play" wiring, and visual LED feedback. Compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic.

Key Features

  • Omni-Directional Triggering: Detects vibration and tilting from any angle, ensuring no movement goes unnoticed.
  • Wide Voltage Compatibility: Works seamlessly with DC 3.3V to 5V, making it compatible with Arduino, ESP32, and STM32 boards.
  • Visual Status Feedback: Onboard LED lights up when vibration is detected, making debugging your code incredibly simple.
  • Digital Output: Outputs a clean digital signal (0 or 1), requiring minimal coding logic compared to analog sensors.
  • Durable Design: The sensor component is fully sealed, waterproof, and dustproof for reliable long-term operation.
  • Anti-Reverse Interface: Features a 3-pin JST-style connector (S, VCC, GND) that prevents short-circuiting due to incorrect wiring.

Full Product Description

Bring Your Electronics Projects to Life with Motion Detection

The Keyes Digital Vibration Sensor Module is an essential component for any maker's toolkit. Unlike complex accelerometers, this module provides a simple, binary digital output (High/Low) based on vibration, making it perfect for beginners and advanced prototypers alike.

How It Works: At the heart of this module is a high-quality vibration switch (fully sealed for durability).

  • Rest State: When the module is still, the switch is OFF (Open Circuit), the signal output is High, and the onboard indicator LED is off (or dim).
  • Triggered State: When the module detects vibration, shock, or a tap from any angle, the switch momentarily turns ON (Conductive), the signal output goes Low, and the onboard LED flashes bright.

Built for Reliability & Ease of Use

Designed with the "Keyes" anti-reverse interface, this module prevents accidental wiring damage. The standard 2.54mm pitch means it slots easily into breadboards or connects via the included jumper wires to your Arduino UNO, Mega, or Raspberry Pi. The sealed sensor housing ensures resistance to dust and moisture, extending the lifespan of your project.

Project Ideas:

  • Smart Security: Trigger a buzzer when a door or window is knocked.
  • Wake-on-Shake: Activate a display only when a device is picked up.
  • Interactive Toys: Create props that react to physical movement.

FAQ Section

Q: Does this sensor measure the intensity of the vibration?
A: No, this is a digital switch. It detects if vibration is happening (On/Off), not how strong the G-force is. For intensity measurement, you would need an accelerometer (like an MPU6050).

Q: Do I need a specific library to use this with Arduino?
A: No library is required! You can simply read the digital pin using the digitalRead() function. If the signal is LOW, vibration is detected.

Q: Is the sensor waterproof?
A: The vibration switch component itself is sealed and waterproof/dustproof. However, the PCB board and pins are exposed, so the entire module should be housed in a case if used outdoors.
