Short Product Description
Short Product Description
Upgrade your robotics projects with superior vision. Unlike standard infrared sensors that fail in bright light, this Laser Obstacle Avoidance Module uses a modulated laser beam to detect objects up to 1.5 meters away with high precision. Featuring a focused beam and ambient light immunity, it is the ideal solution for smart car navigation, assembly line counting, and security systems. Plug-and-play compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and STM32.

Precision Detection for Advanced Robotics
Whether you are building an autonomous rover or an automated counter, precision matters. This module utilizes a diffuse reflection laser sensor design, which emits a focused beam to detect obstacles without the scattering issues common in standard IR LEDs.
Why Choose Laser Over Standard Infrared?
- Longer Range: Detects objects from 0 up to 150cm (1.5 meters), whereas standard IR modules often max out at 30cm.
- Anti-Interference: The optical design and modulated signal significantly reduce errors caused by ambient light and sunlight.
- Focused Beam: The narrow laser point allows for the detection of smaller objects or specific target areas, making it perfect for object counting on conveyor belts.
Easy Integration & Calibration
Designed for makers and engineers, this module operates on a standard 5V logic. It features an onboard multi-turn potentiometer allowing you to fine-tune the detection distance to your exact requirements. The built-in status LED gives instant visual feedback when an obstacle is detected, simplifying the debugging process.

FAQ Section
FAQ Section
Q: How do I adjust the detection range?
A: There is a blue potentiometer on the back of the board. Using a small screwdriver, turn it clockwise to increase the detection distance and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
Q: Does this sensor work in direct sunlight?
A: This laser sensor handles ambient light much better than standard IR diodes. However, extremely bright direct sunlight hitting the receiver lens may still affect performance. It is best used indoors or shaded outdoors.
Q: Is the output analog or digital?
A: This module provides a Digital Output. It outputs a LOW signal (0V) when an object is detected and a HIGH signal (5V) when the path is clear.
