Overview: Charge your 18650 lithium batteries safely and efficiently with our TP4056 Type-C USB 5V 1A Lithium Battery Charger Module. This compact and versatile charging board is designed with essential dual protection functions to ensure the longevity and safety of your batteries. Perfect for DIY electronics projects, portable power solutions, and any application requiring reliable lithium-ion battery charging.

Key Features:

  • Type-C USB Input: Modern Type-C port for convenient and reversible connection to 5V power sources.
  • Optimal Charging: Charges 18650 lithium batteries with a dedicated 4.2V ±1% charging termination voltage.
  • High Charging Current: Delivers up to 1000mA (1A) maximum charging current for quick and efficient charging.
  • Dual Protection Functions:
    • Over-discharge Protection: Automatically cuts off power when the battery voltage drops to 2.5V, preventing damage from deep discharge.
    • Over-current Protection: Protects against excessive current draw with a 3A over-current protection threshold.
  • Compact Design: Ultra-small board size (2.6 x 1.7 CM) makes it easy to integrate into various projects.
  • Charging Status Indicators: Equipped with LED indicators to show charging status (Red for charging, Blue for fully charged).

Technical Specifications:

  • Input Voltage: 5V DC (via Type-C USB or solder pads)
  • Charging Termination Voltage: 4.2V ±1%
  • Maximum Charging Current: 1000mA (1A)
  • Battery Over-discharge Protection Voltage: 2.5V
  • Battery Over-current Protection Current: 3A
  • Board Dimensions: 2.6 CM x 1.7 CM

How to Use:

  • Connect Battery: Connect the positive terminal of your lithium battery to the B+ pad and the negative terminal to the B- pad on the module.
    • Important Note: The first time you connect a battery, there might be no voltage output between OUT+ and OUT-. To activate the protection circuit, simply plug in a 5V power source (like a phone charger) into the Type-C USB port. This activation step is also required if the battery is disconnected and reconnected from B+ and B-.
  • Power Input: Plug a 5V power source (e.g., a mobile phone charger) into the Type-C USB female socket. Alternatively, you can use the adjacent + and - solder pads for 5V input.
    • Charger Requirement: Ensure your phone charger or power supply can output 1A or more to guarantee normal charging operation.
  • Connect Load (Optional): Connect your load (e.g., a mobile boost converter or other device) to the OUT+ and OUT- terminals.
  • Monitor Charging:
    • A red LED will illuminate, indicating that the battery is currently charging.
    • A blue LED will illuminate, indicating that the battery is fully charged.
