Short Product Description

Unlock your DIY potential with the ultra-compact LX-LBC3. This thumb-sized module integrates lithium battery charging and 5V step-up output into a single board. Featuring a modern USB-C port and superior thermal performance compared to older TP4056 modules, it is the perfect solution for retrofitting small electronics, creating custom battery packs, or repairing USB-powered devices.

Key Features

  • 2-in-1 Functionality: Seamlessly switches between charging your battery and outputting 5V power.
  • Ultra-Compact Form Factor: At only 16mm x 12mm, it fits inside the tightest enclosures (smaller than a standard 18650 battery diameter).
  • Modern USB-C Interface: Universal compatibility for both input and output connections.
  • Intelligent Protection: Built-in safeguards against over-charge (4.2V cut-off) and over-discharge (2.9V cut-off).
  • Visual Status Indicators: On-board LEDs indicate charging status (Green Flashing), Full Charge (Green Steady), and Discharging (Blue).
  • Flexible Connections: Features both the Type-C port and accessible solder pads for permanent wiring.

The Ultimate All-in-One Power Solution for Makers

Are you looking to upgrade your electronics projects with rechargeable power? The LX-LBC3 Type-C Charging & Discharging Module is engineered to replace bulky, outdated charging boards. Measuring just 16mm x 12mm, this component is smaller than the cross-section of an 18650 battery, yet it packs a punch with intelligent power management.

Why Choose the LX-LBC3?

Unlike standard linear chargers, this module handles both input (charging) and output (discharging) through the same port or solder pads. It effectively manages 3.7V Lithium-ion or Lithium-polymer batteries, boosting their voltage to a stable 5V output for your devices.

Superior Efficiency & Safety

Say goodbye to overheating. This module offers better thermal control than the traditional 4056/4057 chipsets. It comes equipped with built-in protection against over-charging and over-discharging, ensuring your DIY projects remain safe and your batteries last longer.

Versatile Applications:

  • DIY Power Banks: Create emergency backup power for low-current devices.
  • Retrofitting: Convert AA-battery powered toys or gadgets to rechargeable Lithium power.
  • Repair: Fix broken charging ports on tablets or Bluetooth speakers.

FAQ Section

Q: Can I use this module to charge my iPhone or flagship Android phone?
A: This module is designed for low-power DIY applications (approx. 450mA output). While it outputs 5V, it does not support fast-charging protocols (PD/QC) and may charge modern smartphones very slowly or not at all. It is best suited for fans, LEDs, Arduino projects, or Bluetooth accessories.

Q: Can I connect multiple batteries to this board?
A: You can connect multiple 3.7V batteries in parallel to increase capacity (mAh). However, you must NEVER connect batteries in series (e.g., to make 7.4V), as this will instantly damage the board.

Q: Does it support "Pass-through" charging (UPS mode)?
A: The module supports automatic switching. If external power is connected, it charges the battery. If power is removed, it switches to battery output. However, there may be a micro-second delay during switching, so sensitive microcontrollers might reset without a buffer capacitor.

Target Users / Applications

  • Electronics Hobbyists & Makers: For Arduino/ESP32 portable projects.
  • Repair Technicians: For replacing damaged USB charging ports.
  • STEM Students: Learning about battery management systems (BMS).
  • Retro Gamers: Modding Game Boys or retro consoles to use rechargeable batteries.
