- How do I decode the JSC model numbers to know what I am buying?It's simple! The first number indicates the outer diameter (OD) of the air tube, and the second part indicates the thread size. For example, JSC6-02 fits a 6mm OD tube and has a 1/4" (02) male thread. JSC4-M5 fits a 4mm tube and has an M5x0.8 metric thread.
- Can this valve completely shut off the airflow?While the knurled knob can restrict the airflow to a very slow trickle, it is designed as a speed controller (throttle valve), not a dedicated shut-off or isolation valve. For a 100% airtight shut-off, you should use a dedicated pneumatic ball valve or solenoid valve.
- How do I release the air tube from the push-to-connect fitting?Before attempting to remove the tube, ensure the system is completely depressurized. Then, push the plastic release ring inward (towards the brass fitting) and simultaneously pull the tube out. Never force the tube out without pressing the ring, as this will damage the internal locking claws.
