Arduino Uno WiFi V2 Board

The Arduino UNO WiFi Rev 2 is the easiest point of entry to basic IoT with the standard form factor of the UNO family. Whether you are looking at building a sensor network connected to your office or home router, or if you want to create a Bluetooth® Low Energy device sending data to a cellphone, the Arduino UNO WiFi Rev 2 is your one-stop-solution for many of the basic IoT application scenarios.

The Arduino UNO WiFi V2 is a development board which features the ATMega 4809 processor.(MCU). It is a perfect introduction to electronics and coding. The UNO also demonstrates the basics on sensors and actuators. The UNO is the ideal, entry-level board for those who are new to developing on the Arduino platform. It’s a popular board as it is really robust when it comes to tinkering. For those more experienced, it’s still the perfect board for rapid prototyping.

WiFi:

The WiFi is supported and encrypted by an ’ECC608’ crypto chip for maximum protection while you create your projects. With AES-128 encryption your data will be safe. You can easily connect to your home network from the on-board WiFi controller for effortless use, so you can jump into your projects straight away. This particular board also features an on-board IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit)

How simple is it?

Very. The board contains everything it needs to support the ATmega328P MCU. Just connect it to PC via USB cable or connect it to an AC-to-DC battery. The Arduino Software (IDE) is there to help but the UNO is a sturdy board. You can tinker to your heart’s content without having to worry too much about breaking it. And, if something does go wrong, you can always replace the chip. With the embedded WiFi chip it makes it super convenient and effortless to start a project.

There is also a community surrounding Arduino which is there with lots of support. So, if you’re ever stuck, just reach out for help. There is also tonnes of resource to help inspire you with your next project. https://www.arduino.cc/
