Q. Will the heat from my soldering iron melt the clamps? The holding arms are made of high-heat-resistant ABS plastic. While direct contact with a soldering iron tip will melt them, standard soldering heat transferred through the PCB will not cause any damage.

Q. Can this hold a standard ATX computer motherboard?
The maximum clamping width is 200mm (20cm). It is perfect for smaller electronics, mobile device logic boards, and STEM microcontrollers, but a full-sized ATX motherboard will exceed the maximum width.

Q. Is the base heavy enough to stay put?
Yes. The solid metal base combined with four rubber friction feet provides excellent grip and stability, even when applying pressure with desoldering pumps or tweezers.
