Full Product Description

Powerful Processing in a Micro Form Factor

Space is often the biggest constraint in modern electronics design. The ESP32-S3-Zero-M solves this by condensing the formidable ESP32-FH4R2 chip into a thumb-sized board. Driven by an Xtensa® 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor running at up to 240MHz, it provides desktop-like computational efficiency for edge computing and sensor data processing without taking up valuable carrier board real estate.

Seamless Wireless Connectivity for IoT

Building smart, connected devices requires robust communication. This module features integrated 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth® 5 (LE). Paired with its onboard ceramic antenna, it ensures stable, long-range signal transmission. From controlling smart home appliances to logging remote sensor data, the ESP32-S3-Zero-M keeps your devices securely connected to the cloud.

Pre-Soldered Headers for Rapid Prototyping

Time is money in engineering and development. The "M" variant comes with pre-soldered pin headers, eliminating tedious setup time. You can plug it straight into a breadboard or standard socket out of the box. For those looking to integrate it into a final product, the board retains its castellated hole design, allowing for direct surface-mount soldering to a custom PCB once prototyping is complete.

Flexible Development Ecosystem

We understand that different projects require different programming environments. This board natively supports Espressif's ESP-IDF for commercial-grade, highly optimized C/C++ applications. For rapid prototyping and education, it is fully compatible with the Arduino IDE and MicroPython, allowing you to write functional code in minutes.

FAQ Section

Q: How do I put the ESP32-S3-Zero-M into download mode?
A: Because there is no dedicated USB-to-UART bridge chip, you need to manually enter download mode for initial flashing. Simply press and hold the BOOT button (GPIO0), connect the Type-C cable to your computer, and then release the button.

Q: Can I mount this directly onto my own PCB?
A: Yes. While the "M" version includes pre-soldered headers for breadboarding, the PCB itself features castellated holes. If you remove the headers, it can be surface-mounted directly to your carrier board. Ensure you do not place metal or plastic components directly over the ceramic antenna to avoid signal interference.

Q: What are the default UART pins for serial communication?
A: The board has default markings for UART0. The TX (Transmit) pin is mapped to GPIO43, and the RX (Receive) pin is mapped to GPIO44.
