It complies with both IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at standards, delivering up to 30W on a single port and a total power budget of 90W across ports 1 to 8. This massive power capacity ensures you can reliably run a mix of standard IP cameras, power-hungry PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras, and VoIP phones simultaneously without experiencing power drops or device reboots.

Dual Gigabit Uplink Ports for Bottleneck-Free Routing

Equipped with two dedicated 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 uplink ports, this switch guarantees smooth, lag-free video transmission. Having dual Gigabit uplinks is crucial for modern CCTV setups; it allows you to connect one port directly to your Network Video Recorder (NVR) for high-bandwidth local recording, while the second port connects to your main router for remote internet viewing. This separation prevents network congestion and ensures your 24/7 security footage is never compromised.

250m Long-Distance Transmission Mode

Overcome the standard 100-meter Ethernet limitation with the built-in "Extend" DIP switch. By toggling this hardware switch, ports 1 through 8 are optimized for long-distance PoE transmission, reaching up to 250 meters. While the negotiation speed drops to 10 Mbps in this mode, it remains perfectly adequate for standard IP camera video streams, saving you the cost and hassle of installing additional PoE extenders or midspan injectors in large warehouses or outdoor perimeters.

Pro Tip from Our Technicians

Always ensure your switch is properly grounded to take full advantage of its built-in 6kV lightning and 8kV ESD protection. Our Sham Shui Po CCTV installation experts at Sun Cheong Computer Co. Ltd. highly recommend using pure copper Cat5e or Cat6 cables when utilizing the 250m Extend mode, as cheaper Copper-Clad Aluminum (CCA) cables have higher resistance and will cause severe voltage drops over long distances, leading to camera failure.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0440/4022/4919/files/dahua-8-port-poe-2-gigabit-uplink-angled.jpg?v=1790841813
